To you, the dear reader:

Stay for a short while, weary traveler, that your soul may find rest. Silver and gold have I none to give you, but a far greater treasure do I offer.

You and I are not so different, fellow farer of seas. Though we board different vessels, we both seek the same things, do we not? We wander in search of the good.

But we are both men—sinful men—prone to seek the good in the things that are made instead of in the One who made this world and all things therein. We ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. God is the good, the true, and the beautiful; in Him we live, and move, and have our being. How often do we neglect to praise and glorify our Creator?

In times of ignorance has God overlooked, but now He commands men everywhere to repent, for He has appointed a day of judgement. It is the pure in heart that shall see God and inherit eternal life. Are you counted among them?

There has been only one who has been pure in heart, and that is Jesus Christ, the God-man. Yet, there is good news, for this Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the scriptures. Though the wages of sin be death, the gift of God is eternal life through this Jesus Christ, who is Lord. Through faith in Him alone can we saved, and His righteousness counted as ours. Christ hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.

Wander no more, my friend. Come to Christ, and find rest. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
